Job description
Hiring: FAA Part 107 RPIC for DARPA Lift Challenge 2026Our team is applying to the DARPA Lift Challenge — a public competition to design a VTOL unmanned aircraft with an exceptional payload-to-weight ratio. We need a designated Remote Pilot in Command to be listed on our application.Phased engagement:
- Phase 1 (application listing): $1,000 flat. Remote, low time commitment, exclusivity required.
- Phase 2 (test flights): day rate, team-activated with notice.
- Phase 3 (competition, Summer 2026): day rate + completion bonus on qualifying score.
- Current FAA Part 107 certificate
- U.S. person (citizen or lawful permanent resident)
- Not currently listed as RPIC on another Lift Challenge team
- Bonus: heavy-lift, VTOL, test pilot, or experimental/44807 experience
